Report Magic 2.9 Released!

We are pleased to announce the release of ReportMagic 2.9.  The "New UI, Dashboards and Agents" release.  We're very proud of it and are keen to hear your feedback (good or bad!).  Let us know what you think - we are always pleased to hear your thoughts.

Let's go through each of the new features and follow up with some good news on simplified pricing.

New User Interface

For ReportMagic 2.9, we've developed a whole new menu system and UI. The new Side Menu gives quick access to all ReportMagic features with a clutter-free, modern design and a more intuitive layout.

The new menu can even be collapsed instantly to let you focus on using ReportMagic without any distraction. The next time you log in, the menu returns to the same position as you left it.

Whether you're using a PC, tablet or a mobile device, ReportMagic's menu now adapts perfectly to the screen size, giving a more productive and streamlined experience.

The extensive help system is now just a click away from the Side Menu, and includes detailed macro documentation. You can also access any of the help pages whether you're logged in or not.

Sending us feedback has never been easier in ReportMagic 2.9. Dialogs have been redesigned with a fresh new look, and will adapt dynamically to your device's screen size.

Finding information in ReportMagic has never been easier. A new Search Everything dialog helps you find exactly what you're looking for in just a few steps, with quick links to the relevant results.

Dashboards

ReportMagic Dashboards let you produce striking graphical pages full of customer system metrics and report results.

You can make as many Dashboards as you want, there can be up to 32 Tabs on each Dashboard and each Tab can contain any number of Tiles. The format and CSS style of all elements can be defined uniformly or individually using the Dashboards editing tools.

Editing a Dashboard Tile

Dashboard Tiles can contain html, css and script which is either pasted directly into the edit dialog or sourced from a URL. LogicMonitor widgets, ReportMagic widgets, images, tables - indeed, any document format that can be rendered in a browser is allowed.

Agents

We understand that not all your data is in the cloud (yet!), so use our Agents to query your on-site data.

With Release 2.9, Agents can execute SQL queries for your on-site Microsoft SQL Server database. We don't even need your credentials, just install our Agent as a Windows Service and set it to run as a restricted Active Directory domain user.  That

There is no cost to Agents - install as many as you need.

Later, we intend introducing more functionality to the Agents, including the ability to run PowerShell scripts and query your Intranet web applications.

New Pricing

With version 2.9, we are pleased to introduce more functionality for all pricing plans and simpler pricing for the higher tiers. All existing customers will find their costs either reduced or unchanged.  For more details, please visit https://reportmagic.net/pricing.
