ReportMagic 3.1

Overview

ReportMagic 3.1 is primarily a bug fix and maintenance release.  You will still be able to use version 2 at https://v2.reportmagic.net/ until the end of November.

To recap, v3 brings you Single Sign On (Microsoft Sign-In only), SharePoint connectivity, a simplified, more consistent UI as well as file system and progress screen improvements.  Our aim is for the new UI experience to be intuitive and informative, so much so that you do not notice that the old UI has been switched out.

As ever, please let us know of any usability issues.  Your feedback is important to us.

Bug Fixes 

  • Style issues with forms used for driving Report Schedule execution have been resolved
  • Fixes have been made around date handling in the Toggl macros
  • An issue with double clicking filenames has been addressed so that an expand operation rather than rename is initiated
  • Significant fixes have been made to how we handle login tokens under the hood which resolve many issues around general reload errors, perceived ineffectiveness of mouse clicks and file download
  • The [Email:] macro now works when used from within Report Studio
  • The [EmailReport:] macro is now setting the from and displayName parameter values in accordance with the rules stipulated on the Help page

Improvements and other work

  • More information has been added to the Help pages for handling files using the REST API as well as for SharePoint and DataVerse connectivity
  • We now have the ability to suspend (an unsuspend) a Tenant account
  • A new menu item named Batch Jobs is now available and provides a per-Tenant view of all report batch jobs
  • Running and Pending job statuses are now differentiated not only by colour but now also by different icons
  • The Register button has been removed from the v2 UI meaning that all new registrations must come via the v3 Microsoft Sign-On mechanism
